“Best of the Best” award for HASA from Burg

Award ceremony at the Anuga tradeshow in Cologne – quality certificate for sustainable quality policy

The food testing center of the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) has now awarded HASA GmbH in Burg with the bronze “Best of the Best” award. This quality certificate recognizes long-term, sustainable quality production. The award ceremony took place in Cologne at the Anuga, the world’s largest food fair.

DLG vice president Prof. Dr. Achim Stiebin presented the certificate and extended his congratulations with the following words:

“Trust develops when something special is verified time and again: For years, you have successfully met the expectations of the DLG’s expert panel. As a result, your certified statements of quality have a special significance, which is recognized with the award “Best of the Best.”

Prizewinners honored as “Best of the Best” are able to point to many years of positive test results at the international DLG quality tests for convenience food. This includes frozen food, prepared dishes, specialty foods, fresh meats, and fish and seafood. In order to receive the bronze “Best of the Best” prize, a company must have demonstrated its quality performance by consistently winning an award at the yearly DLG quality tests over five years. The silver “Best of the Best” award is given to companies that demonstrate 10 years of successful participation in the DLG; the gold for companies with 15 or more years. This year, the “Best of the Best” award was received by 144 companies from the branches frozen food, prepared dishes, specialty foods, fresh meats, and fish and seafood.

As a result of its professional and methodological competence, the DLG testing center is a leader in food-quality assessment. Objectivity and the quality transparency are ensured by a neutral network of experts as well as current scientifically based and product-specific quality standards.
